On The Street, Taipei... Liao

In Blow-up I used my head instinctively!
- Michelangelo Antonioni

I've got this idea in my head about fashion photographers, this cliché that they take photos with great energy and intensity, changing the angles, changing poses of the model and so on, and then all of a sudden they just go "I'm done", like the creative energy is spent, the session is over. I think it comes from movies that I've watched from the 60's in particular, Antonioni's Blow-up for example.

And I can feel that in a way, because sometimes I can just go out, walk to a particular area and as soon as I'm there I start taking photos. And maybe that lasts for 15 or 20 minutes, like spot someone, ask them, take a photo, chat briefly, then go back to spotting again, until I get the last photo and I suddenly feel like "I'm done" and I leave, even if there is still some light left. It's actually a great feeling, like a complete satisfaction I guess, but I also feel like I'm saying "job done, don't be greedy, leave some for next time."
